Hailing from Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Joi C. Kilpatrick is a prominent educational leader with a strong foundation in child development and school administration. Kilpatrick graduated from Spelman College in 2004 with a degree in Child Development, which paved the way for her committed career in education. For nine years, she taught in the DeKalb County School System, where she helped nurture young minds and shape the educational experiences of many students. After transitioning to administration, she spent four years as an Assistant Principal, where she refined her leadership skills and contributed to the strategic direction of the schools. For seven years, she held the position of Principal at William M. Boyd Elementary, where we made significant strides by successfully removing the school from the state improvement list, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to enhancing academic achievement and driving school improvement. She is a dynamic leader in education with proven expertise in driving instructional improvement, fostering academic excellence, and leading diverse teams. Dr. Joi C.
